1962: Yahn Electric Company
was first organized in by Edmund Joseph
Yahn, Sr. and brother William Yahn under
the name of Valley Electric Company.
1967: The company
name was changed to Yahn Electric and
became a member of the local NECA (National
Electric Contractor's Association) Chapter.
1970: Edmund Joseph Yahn, Jr., current president and part owner, joined the company as a full-time electrical apprentice (later to become a journeyman electrician).
1974: Gary Allen Yahn, current
foreman and part owner, also joined
the company as an electrical apprentice
(later to become a journeyman electrician).
1981: Ed, Sr. became
the sole owner of the
company.
2002: Ed, Jr. and
Gary took over Yahn Electric as partners
from their father. Ed, Jr. became President.
Gary became Head Foreman. Ed, Sr. maintained
his relationship with the company he
started as a part time consultant.
2005: Yahn Electric
implemented a new Residential Program
that provides residential electrical
work at lower rates to be competitive
in the market.
Present: Today, the
company has doubled in size from the
1970's and is at the pinnacle of business
having their best years to date in 2004
and 2005
